Water Operator - Bridgton Water District

The Bridgton Water District is seeking a qualified Water Operator to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the District’s public water supply, treatment facilities, and distribution system.

Duties include:

· Monitoring and operating water treatment and pumping equipment

· Collecting water samples and performing routine testing

· Performing system maintenance, repairs, and meter reading

· Responding to service calls and emergency repairs, including nights/weekends on rotation

· Maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Valid Maine driver’s license

· Maine Water Operator license, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire

· Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work outdoors in all weather

· Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces

· Strong communication and customer service skills
