Sugarloaf Water Utility Technician Class II

Overview

The Sugarloaf Water Association is currently seeking interested candidates for our resort’s open Water Utility Technician Class II position. The primary role of a Sugarloaf Water Utility Tech is to contribute as a responsible member of the team that provides safe drinking water service to the customers of the Sugarloaf Water Association. This role performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the operation, upkeep, maintenance, and repair of water distribution and treatment systems and related facilities. This full-time, year-round position is benefit eligible and comes with great job perks including paid time off and seasonal bonuses. Responsibilities:

Water Utility Technician Class II is an intermediate level class. Technician II employees are experienced and capable of independent work covering substantially the full range of skilled and technical duties within the water system. Technician II employees will hold a Class II Water Distribution license issued by the Maine DWP or will be able to obtain such a license in a timely manner once hired.

Qualifications:

Candidates will need to show a working knowledge of equipment and procedures involved in installation, maintenance and repair of water systems or similar facilities, such as water mains, meters, valves, and hydrants. Must have the desire and ability to obtain a Class II Water Distribution License issued by the Maine DWP. Some computer skills are necessary
