GIS Manager - Greater Augusta
The Greater Augusta Utility District is a non-profit public utility that owns and operates a water, sewer and storm water utility which provides service to multiple communities. These services include sewer collection, wastewater treatment, storm water collection, drinking water supply and fire protection.
The Geographic Information System (GIS) Manager
is responsible for the effective management of the
District’s Geographic Information System (GIS)
resources and processes.
This includes managing and analyzing spatial data, developing and implementing standard operating procedures, training staff, keeping current with emerging GIS technologies, and developing long-term and short-term goals for the District’s GIS. Work is performed under general supervision of Engineering Services Supervisor.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of GIS, Geography, Engineering, Information Systems or other related field and a minimum of four years of professional experience with GIS. Experience in the public water and/or wastewater field is highly desirable. A valid Class C Maine driver’s license is required.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a comprehensive benefit package including; retirement, family medical/dental insurance and generous leave benefits.
Pay range is $52,950 - $68,833
