CCTV Inspection and Trenchless Rehabilitation
The Greater Augusta Utility District is a non-profit public utility that owns and operates a water, wastewater, and stormwater utility which provides service to multiple communities. These services include sewer collection, wastewater treatment, stormwater collection, drinking water supply and fire protection.
We are currently seeking applicants for an
entry-level Engineering Tech I position.
The primary focus of the successful candidate will be to assist in the operation and maintenance of the District’s closed circuit television (CCTV) pipe inspection equipment and perform rehabilitation of District infrastructure using epoxy coating and cured in place pipe (CIPP) systems. This position requires administrative and technical work associated with asset management, utility locating, construction inspection, project design, field layout, researching customer issues, computer aided drafting (CAD), geographic information system (GIS) data input/output, global positioning system (GPS) data collection, hydrant flow testing, CCTV inspection of gravity pipes, maintenance of location records, manhole rehabilitation using chemical injection grouting and epoxy spray coating, maintenance and rehabilitation of concrete, steel and brick structures using epoxy coating, and installation of CIPP liners. Work is performed under general supervision with periodic review to ensure satisfactory performance of work.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in the field of Civil, Sanitary or Environmental Engineering, with a utility specialty preferred. Two years of experience in construction, inspection and/or office technical engineering work or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Two years of experience in the application of sprayed protective coatings and / or experience using multi-component spray systems is required. Prior experience in construction activities and basic engineering is required.
This is a full-time, non-exempt classification with a salary range of $47,940 to $62,326. The Greater Augusta Utility offers a comprehensive benefit package including competitive retirement plans, medical/dental insurance and generous leave benefits.
