Prep Class - Water Treatment Class II (Fall 2026)
Event Details
This 4-day course is designed to prepare water treatment professionals for the Water Treatment Operator Class 2 certification exam. The course covers the essential technical knowledge and operational skills required to safely and effectively operate public water treatment systems.
Topics include water treatment processes, chemical dosing and handling, filtration, disinfection, water quality monitoring, process control, troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and operator responsibilities. Instruction emphasizes both exam content and practical application, with problem-solving exercises and case studies to reinforce understanding.
The course combines exam-focused instruction with practical examples and problem-solving exercises to reinforce key concepts and build test-taking confidence. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the subject areas covered on the Class 2 exam and practical strategies for applying that knowledge in real-world distribution system operations. Each lesson includes real-world examples, exam-style problems, and instructor-led discussions to support knowledge retention and application.

THIS IS A HYBRID EVENT!
The live, in-person session will be held in the Bangor area at a site to be determined.
We are also offering this class virtually. While we encourage in-person participation, we understand this is not always doable. Zoom link will be provided prior to the start of the class.
Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can take attendance.

Individuals registered for one of MRWA’s training classes will be charged the class fee if we have not received notice of cancellation at least five business days prior to the class. Anyone contacting MRWA to cancel enrollment in a class will receive a cancellation number.
