Class Description:

The course will provide an overview in PFAS analysis, encompassing understanding of analytical steps, equipment needed, contamination source identification, and interpreting PFAS testing results.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the steps involved in analyzing PFAS compounds
  • Recognize the essential equipment needed for PFAS Analysis
  • Identify Possible sources of contamination
  • Interpret PFAS results
  • Questions for your testing provider
  • Locate additional PFAS Resources

Maine BLWSO: 2.0 TCHs for Water Operators  
Maine DEP: 2.0 TCHs for Wastewater Operators  


Speakers:

Sara Dunne - Lab Technical Director, Maine Laboratories

Sara has over 11 years’ experience in analytical chemistry and is one of the founding team members for Maine Laboratories. Prior to this role, Sara worked at Elmet Technologies specializing in metallurgy. Sara brings expertise in method development, advanced lab certification, and professional report writing with a focus on data integrity.

Katie Richards - CEO, Maine Laboratories

Katie has over 20 years of experience in consulting, leadership development, project management, strategic planning, and execution. Katie has her Geology degree and an MBA. Katie founded Maine Laboratories with her husband, Chris Richards in 2022. Prior to opening Maine Laboratories, Katie worked as a Strategic Program Manager in the financial services and tech industry.
