As an owner and/or operator of a seasonal campground, boys’ camp, girls’ camp, sporting camp, seasonal or year-round hotel and restaurant, you have numerous responsibilities to ensure the safety of your customers. • Seasonal Water System Start Up Plans
  • Required Sampling and Appropriate Sample Procedures
  • Shock Chlorination of the Well
  • Drinking Water Orders
  • Maine and Federal Safe Drinking Water Requirements

Also, MRWA offers free follow-up with technical assistance and support. Just give us a call at 207-737-4092!

This in-person class will be four hours from 10am to 2pm. We will have a working lunch so please bring something to eat.

Maine BLWSO: 4.0 TCHs for Water Operators

Speaker:

Jason Pushard - Maine Rural Water Association

Jason Pushard, joined the Maine Rural Water Association as technical assistance provider in 2023.   Prior to joining MRWA, Jason worked for the Maine Drinking Water Program as a Compliance Officer for four and a half years and most recently as a Public Water System Inspector for the last 5 years. Prior to working for the DWP, Jason worked for 10 years at the Health & Environmental Testing Laboratory as the shipping & receiving section manager. While at the lab, Jason worked daily with compliance section staff at the DWP and was involved with sample tracking and receipt. Jason has an abundance of knowledge about how to keep Maine’s small systems in compliance.

When he is not working during the summer, Jason, Brenda and their dogs can be found on their boat somewhere on the Kennebec River or the coast of Maine.
