Class Description:

As an owner and/or operator of a seasonal campground, boys’ camp, girls’ camp, sporting camp, seasonal or year-round hotel and restaurant, you have numerous responsibilities to ensure the safety of your customers. Providing safe drinking water is one of those responsibilities and is certainly an essential part of your business. Emphasis will be placed on:

  • Seasonal Water System Start Up Plans
  • Required Sampling and Appropriate Sample Procedures
  • Shock Chlorination of the Well
  • Drinking Water Orders
  • Maine and Federal Safe Drinking Water Requirements

This three-hour session will be delivered by live instructors. Also, MRWA offers free follow-up with technical assistance and support. Just give us a call!

Jason Pushard - Maine Rural Water Association

Jason Pushard joins Maine Rural Water Association as the new EPA Program Manager. Prior to joining MRWA, Jason worked for the Maine Drinking Water Program as a Compliance Officer for 4 ½ years and most recently as a Public Water System Inspector for the last 5 years. Prior to working for the DWP, Jason worked for 10 years at the Health & Environmental Testing Laboratory as the shipping & receiving section manager. While at the lab, Jason worked daily with compliance section staff at the DWP and was involved with sample tracking and receipt.

He lives in Sidney with Brenda and their 2 dogs. Jason enjoys boating and being outside during the summer months. When he is not working during the summer, Jason, Brenda and their dogs can be found on their boat somewhere on the Kennebec River or the coast of Maine.

Robert Jandreau - Maine CDC Drinking Water Program 

Robert Jandreau serves as the Drinking Water Program Inspector for District H, bringing six years of dedicated service to the role. His jurisdiction encompasses Aroostook, Penobscot, Piscataquis, and select areas of Washington Counties. With a robust 22-year tenure holding a VSWS License, Bob demonstrates extensive expertise in ensuring water safety and compliance.

Prior to his tenure with the Drinking Water Program, Bob's professional journey included a distinguished 12-year service in the Marine Corps, followed by a commendable 20-year managerial tenure at Maine Military Authority within the former Loring Air Force Base. There, he oversaw the refurbishment of various military equipment, including HMMWVs, 5-ton trucks, bulldozers, howitzers, well drilling rigs, bridge platforms, and Department of Transportation equipment. His diverse background underscores his commitment to excellence and his ability to navigate complex regulatory environments effectively.

This session will be held both virtually via Zoom and in person at the Sargent Family Community Center at 24 Chapman St, Presque Isle, ME 04769.

Please arrive 15 minutes early (at 8:45am) so we can take attendance.

Individuals registered for one of MRWA’s training classes will be charged the class fee if we have not received notice of cancellation at least five business days prior to the class. Anyone contacting MRWA to cancel enrollment in a class will receive a cancellation number.
