Class Description:

Water and Sewer Districts are permitted to pursue the “lien process”. Learn the four-step process to securing a lien for unpaid rates. Instruction will be provided with the step-by-step process. Attendees are encouraged to have a particular past due account when participating in the class to allow hands-on guidance in successfully completing the process.

This session includes a 15-minute break.


Class Fee: $60 Members | $80 Non-Members

Maine DEP: 2.0 TCHs for Wastewater Operators

Daphne Paulette – Maine Rural Water Association

Daphne helps our members (and potential members) with all things PUC, billing, liens, setting up books/accounting questions, sales tax questions and issues, etc. She has nearly 28 years of experience and extensive knowledge of the admin side of both water and wastewater utilities in addition to 33 years of non-profit accounting. Daphne also has her Class II Treatment and Class I Distribution Water licenses.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Individuals registered for one of MRWA’s training classes or seminars will be charged the class fee if we have not received notice of cancellation at least five (5) business days prior to the class. Anyone contacting MRWA to cancel enrollment in a class will receive a cancellation number.
