Event Details

Class Description:

This certification exam prep class will focus on the biological, physical, and chemical treatment for operators that are preparing for level III to V wastewater exams. The seven examination core competencies, along with the exam questioning formats, will be discussed based on the ABC 2008 Need-To-Know Criteria. Use of the 2017 Formula/Conversion table for wastewater treatment will be discussed throughout the class. Participants will learn how test preparation and study tips, along with test time management, will be beneficial to testing successfully. Attendees are encouraged to bring their 2017 Formula/Conversion table, notebook, calculator, highlighter, and a pen/pencil to class.


Tuesday-Thursday, February 14th-16th, 2023 | 8:00am - 3:00pm
This session accounts for a daily 30 minute break.

Speaker:

Patrick Wiley – Southern Maine Community College

Patrick is the faculty instructor for the Water Treatment Technology Program at Southern Maine Community College. He has a PhD in Environmental Systems at University of California and holds a Grade V Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License in both Maine and California. He has contributed to many books and publications over the course of his career, and developed the Wastewater Treatment program at Southern Maine Community College.
