Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) Website Disclaimer

The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is prepared annually in accordance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements. Once the CCR has been completed, and delivered to the customer electronically, the responsibility for distributing the report to customers and the community rests with the public water system.

Each public water system is responsible for disseminating its CCR in compliance with federal Consumer Confidence Report regulations and Maine CDC Drinking Water Program requirements. Appropriate distribution methods may include, but are not limited to, direct mail, email or electronic delivery, approved electronic posting with customer notification, and public posting in accessible locations such as town offices, libraries, or utility offices. Utilities must also make a good faith effort to reach consumers who do not receive water bills directly.

For questions regarding CCR distribution, reporting requirements, or compliance, customers should contact their local water utility or the Maine CDC Drinking Water Program.
