Ever wonder if your Board of Trustees understands the financial statements they receive monthly? Feel like they understand the importance of the audit and how to read it? Are they aware of the need for public meetings? Does the Board attempt to manage the day to day operations of the District? Do they understand their roles and responsiblities as trustees? This class can help trustees, new and seasoned better understand their roles and responsiblities, as well as help management understand how to better educate the Board. We will highlight real life situations in which Board Member education and familairty with the utility resulted in conflicts of interest.
