Cla-Val Model CDHS-18 Differential Control Valve (Two Available):
​
The Cla-Val Model CDHS-18 Differential Control Valve is a normally-open, spring-loaded, diaphragm-type pilot valve that operates hydraulically and is designed to close on a rising differential pressure. It provides accurate differential pressure control for rate of flow control by Cla-Val 40 Series Control Valves. When used as a pilot control with Cla-Val valves it acts as a flow limiting control.

Approximately 360 feet of 12-inch US Pipe Ductile Iron pipe.

Approximately 306 feet of 8-inch Ductile Iron pipe.

Kennebec Water District

Water Treatment Plant Operator – Environmental Focus

Under general supervision of the Treatment Plant Supervisor, the successful candidate’s primary focus will be on the Kennebec Water District’s State certified laboratory, the China Lake watershed, and operating the District’s water treatment plant (WTP) and associated remote sites in accordance with State and federal laws and regulations. He or she will also perform duties relating to system water quality, water distribution, sampling and analysis, maintenance, and data collection/quality control.
 
The successful candidate must be able to display an exceptional work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Kennebec Water District

Operations and Maintenance Utility Technician

The successful candidate must be able to display an exceptional work ethic, strong mechanical skills set and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Utility Technicians perform varied duties associated with Kennebec Water District construction projects and maintenance of system assets. Workload can vary from light to heavy in physical demands and in varying weather conditions.

Utility Technicians are required to obtain a CDL-A and Tank Vehicle Endorsement within one year of hire.

Engineer

Supervisor: Director, Engineering and Technical Services

General Job Purpose:
The Engineer is responsible for providing excellent service to our customers, shareholders and employees by providing technical support and service to the public water systems owned and/or operated by the Company. Primary functions include supporting the annual capital improvement program and operating the GIS, Hydraulic Simulation and Asset Management software systems employed to properly maintain and store the Company’s electronic records. The Engineer has primary responsibilities in the following areas:
• Design, coordination and implementation of water utility infrastructure projects as assigned 
• Development and deployment of digital distribution system maps and records (horizontal assets) to engineering staff, superintendents and field service representatives using Arc GIS software
• Further the development of an electronic asset management system to integrate and digitize our vertical water utility assets, their characteristics, attributes and operating and maintenance requirements

Key Responsibilities:
​The Engineer performs a variety of duties. Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
• Successfully creates and manages GIS data of Company water distribution systems. 
• Assist with the design and delivery of water distribution system construction projects. 
• Coordinate with Operations for data collection necessary to create or update Company distribution maps and electronic files.
• Maintain and operate hydraulic simulation models of Company water distribution systems.
• Training and demonstration of ArcReader and ArcGIS software to Superintendents, field service representatives and others.
• Development and filing of water system maps and information required under Chapter 140 of the Rules of the Maine Public Utilities Commission.
• Perform special projects as assigned.

This includes rules and regulations in the Company Safety Manual, OSHA regulations and other state, federal, or governing body’s rules and regulations.

Lisbon Water Department

Licensed Water Operator

​The Lisbon Water Department is seeking a State of Maine Class 2 or higher Treatment and Distribution licensedwater operator to provide excellent service to our customers.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years’ experience in an equivalent position with positive evaluations and proof of the following:
• Must have and maintain a valid Maine driver’s license free from violations.
• Must have and maintain a State of Maine Class II or higher water operator license in Water Treatment and Distribution.
• Should have experience in or willingness to learn Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be able to take On-Call Rotation.
• Must live within 30 minutes of LWD office
• Must be able to perform their job responsibilities independently with a positive attitude and respect in a team based environment.
• Must have or the ability to obtain a backflow prevention device tester certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities
• Assist in completing monthly sampling and the compliance reports submitted to the State.
Respond to emergencies as necessary at all hours and in all weather conditions.
• Follow all safety, maintenance, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Review and assist with complaints concerning water issues.
• Assist in maintaining the Water Department vehicles and facilitating the necessary maintenance.
• Assist in the overall general maintenance of the Water Department grounds and facilities to maintain a clean, safe and efficient environment.
• Assist in executing all work orders issued including collections and disconnections of water service.
• Assist with job order data entry as needed.
• Assist in maintenance and daily procedures of the filtration plant, pumps, stations, and standpipes as required and communicate progress to produce report information.
• Assist in maintaining, exercising, and testing of meters, hydrants, valves, and curb stops.
• Assist in completing regular monthly meter reading as well as daily miscellaneous readings as requested via the work order process.
