Greater Augusta Utility District
The Greater Augusta Utility District is accepting applications for the position of Utility Worker to perform skilled manual work and the operation of trucks, loaders and other motorized equipment in the construction and repair of water/sewer lines and residential water/sewer services. Work involves the performance of manual labor tasks in connection with the construction, maintenance and repair activities of the work crews.
Position requires the employee to perform after hours on-call status on a rotatin basis, including answering a pager and staying within a 20-minute response time.
Qualified applicants will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have experience in the operation of light and heavy duty trucks and motorized equipment. A valid Class V CDL is required. Class 1 water distribution and Class 1 collection system licenses are desired.
This is a year-round, full-time position. Pay is $17.52 per hour. The District offers a comprehensive benefit package including retirement, family medical/dental insurance and generous leave benefits.

Loring Development Authority
Licensed Water Plant Maintenance and Operator
The Loring Development Authority of Maine (LDA) is seeking a full-time employee to work as a water plant and distribution system operator. Duties will include operating and maintaining a surface water treatment plant and water distribution system. Responsibilities may also extend to the sewer collection system. Applicants for this position must possess or be able and willing to obtain Maine’s Water Treatment System License or Water Distribution System License, or both. The ideal candidate would also possess or be able and willing to obtain certification as a Backflow Prevention Device Inspector.
Applicant must possess a current and valid State of Maine driver’s license (class B CDL preferred) and meet the LDA’s insurability requirements.
The Applicant must possess strong computer skills along with interpersonal skills and communications skills, both oral and written.
Compensation will depend on relevant experience, demonstrated abilities and appropriate licensure. A successful Applicant who lacks the appropriate licenses will be required to make steady progress toward obtaining the licenses – compensation will increase based on licensure milestones. The LDA offers a comprehensive benefit package.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator/Lab Technician
The Town of Hartland is seeking a full time position as a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator/Lab Technician. Duties include Lab sampling and analysis, plant operations and equipment maintenance along with other tasks to be assigned as required. The successful candidate will be dependable, self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as a team member, and the candidate will have demonstrated good integrity in the past. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours and work weekends. The candidate must be able to follow detailed instructions and must be respectful to DEP, OSHA and Maine DOT regulations. Overtime, nights, weekends and holidays will be required periodically. Candidate must have a Waste Water Grade III Biological license and a Maine driver’s license.
