This class will review the installation of portable generators at water and wastewater facilities, explored by the personnel that manage, operate, and maintain treatment plants, lift stations, and water production wells. Setting up and installing portable generators in emergency situations requires a fundamental knowledge of workplace safety and proper equipment sizing and electrical installation. This course will further discuss what to expect during an extended power outage and the proper methods and safety procedures to employ when using portable generators. Small, medium, and large water and wastewater systems alike will benefit from this course.
