Ron Boivin brings over 20 years of experience in the water and wastewater field to the Maine Rural Water Association. Ron began his career as Circuit Rider with the MRWA in 2001. Ron currently holds a Class II water operators license for both Treatment and Distribution, as well as a Class 1 wastewater certification.

Ron previously worked as General Manager for Clinton Water and Wastewater system where he served as a “clerk of the works” and an inspector for several federal and state funded water and sewer system upgrades and new installations.

As a Circuit Rider, Ron's specialties include providing assistance with pipe, hydrant and valve installation and repairs, main break repairs, leak detection, line location, pressure testing, meter and backflow preventer installation, and pump installation. In addition, Ron can provide technical assistance on compliance issues, as well as groundwater protection. Ron finds that he uses his general knowledge of daily operations and regulations of public water and sewer systems to provide assistance to our members.
